What is Presented?
This course highlights the essential role of clinical psychologists in identifying, treating, and supporting patients with sleep disorders. Dr. Memon will discuss the neurobiological and behavioral foundations of sleep, common sleep disorders seen in clinical practice, and evidence-based treatment strategies, including
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and psychological approaches to PAP adherence
. The session emphasizes practical collaboration between sleep physicians and mental health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Who Presents?
About the Presenter: Talha Memon, MD
Dr. Talha Memon is a board-certified Sleep Medicine and Family Medicine physician and the Medical Director of Complete Sleep Solutions in Murrieta, California. He is the founding Program Director of the region’s first ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship, where he trains physicians across multiple disciplines in the diagnosis and management of complex sleep disorders.
Dr. Memon has a strong interest in the interface between psychology and sleep medicine, with particular focus on insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, and behavioral adherence to PAP therapy. He also organizes an annual Sleep Medicine Symposium connecting national experts with local clinicians to advance multidisciplinary education and patient care.
