Presenter: Paul Fried, Founder and CEO, I Made the Arrangements
Topic: Family Protection Beyond Benefits: How End-of-Life Planning Reduces Stress, Crisis, and Chaos
End-of-life planning is rarely viewed as a form of family protection, yet the absence of a plan is one of the leading contributors to emotional distress, workplace disruption, and prolonged crisis for employees and their families. This presentation reframes end-of-life planning as a proactive, preventative tool that supports employee well-being, reduces stress during critical life events, and helps families navigate loss with clarity instead of chaos. Attendees will learn how accessible, human-centered planning can complement EAP services, strengthen family resilience, and provide meaningful support long before a crisis occurs.
Paul Fried is the Founder and CEO of I Made the Arrangements, a human-centered end-of-life planning platform focused on family protection and clarity during life’s most difficult transitions. A longtime entrepreneur and former builder, Paul brings a practical planning mindset to a topic most people avoid, reframing end-of-life planning as an act of love and responsibility rather than fear. He is also trained as an end-of-life doula, experience that deeply shaped the platform’s compassionate, accessible approach. Paul speaks nationally on how proactive planning can reduce stress, conflict, and emotional burden for families and the workplaces that support them.
