CEAP Certification Program
Overview of the CEAP Certification Program
The CEAP® Certification program is an EACC approved program for CEAP® certification comprised of learning modules with end of module assessments that covers the required three knowledge domains for the EA professional. It is a self-directed online modular based course with two course options for CEAP® certification:
- CEAP® Certification Course (For candidates within the US)
- CEAP® Global Certification Course (For candidates outside the US)
Both certification courses (CEAP® and CEAP® Global) presents twenty hours of content knowledge relevant to EA practice within a global perspective and includes interactive exercises, videos, selected readings, case studies, test your knowledge and end of module assessments questions. Essential EAP components, history of EAPs, policy issues along with relevant legal issues, diversity, EAP clinical assessment, EAPs around the world, marketing, training supervision, outcome measures, account management and the future of EAPs will be covered within the course's five learning modules. Each learning module has its respective end-of-module assessment which contains thirty (30) randomized multiple-choice questions to check your knowledge of the respective domains. Assessment questions are based on domain knowledge and not on the exact content covered in the learning modules. This certification program ensures that certified employee assistance professionals are provided the opportunity to gain and maintain the skills required do deliver appropriate EAP services.
Learning Modules (CEAP® and CEAP® Global)
The Learning modules for both the CEAP® and the CEAP® Global certification courses includes interactive exercises, videos, selected readings, case studies, self-assessments etc. and is broken up into the following five (5) learning modules totaling twenty (20) Professional Development Hours:

- The major types of EAP models and their functions
- Essential ingredients of EAPs
