Overview of the CEAP

The Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP®) is the only credential that denotes mastery of the concepts and skills required by competent employee assistance professionals. 

Sponsored by EAPA, the first CEAP® was credentialed in 1987 by the Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC), the governing body for the Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP®) certification. In October 2021, the EACC approved and launched the modular-based self-paced online course for CEAP® certification which replaced the traditional CEAP® exam.
