Nicole Hanratty, CEAP, SAP is a seasoned professional in the field of DOT substance abuse management and workplace compliance, currently serving as the Chief Operation Officer (COO) for American Substance Abuse Professionals (ASAP). With a career spanning over two decades, Nicole has established herself as a leading authority in providing nationwide drug-free workplace services to both federally regulated and non-regulated companies. Nicole is a DOT qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), NRC qualified Substance Abuse Expert (SAE), and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).  Nicole's journey with ASAP began in 2003 when she joined the organization's Provider Relations Department. Over the years, her dedication, expertise, and leadership skills have propelled her to the forefront, and she now oversees all operations at ASAP.  Nicole has been a speaker at various events, including the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders, the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) Chesapeake Chapter, and Substance Abuse Program Administrators (SAPAA). She shares her insights on a range of topics crucial to the industry, such as DOT regulations, SAP responsibilities, reasonable suspicion, drug and alcohol education, and offering second chance programs. In addition to her speaking engagements, Nicole has played a pivotal role in the EAPA Chesapeake Chapter, serving as an officer since 2016 and currently holding the position of President. Her contributions to the chapter underscore her commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence within the industry. Nicole's specialization in DOT regulations is a cornerstone of her expertise. She works closely with employers and SAPs, providing invaluable support and guidance on compliance matters.
