Nancy Board is a global leader in corporate health, wellbeing and Employee
Assistance Programs (EAP) and a seasoned international mental health expert,
currently based in Central Oregon, USA.
Nancy has been in the field of employee assistance for nearly 40 years. Starting as an
EAP affiliate provider and clinician, she quickly moved into the corporate behavioral
health space and found her way to the top of organizations supporting managers and
executive leaders with critical and risky workplace concerns. Her business savvy, calm
demeanor and straightforward communication approach allows her to navigate spaces
where organizational change truly happens - in the C-suite.
Nancy’s career has taken her extensively around the globe, focusing primarily on the
Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Then based in Sydney, NSW, Australia, she managed
global EAP business and established behavioral health provider networks in over 30
countries. As a culturally competent leader, Nancy has led individuals, teams and
organizations through the chaos and grief of workplace violence and major disasters,
including as lead consultant in Tokyo in March of 2011.
As Vice President of Healthcare, EAP and Wellness for JP Morgan, Asia Pacific she
was responsible for over 38,000 employees in 18 countries. Prior that she was Vice
President of Global Services for PPC Worldwide where she was instrumental in the
successful merger of 2 Australian and APAC EAP businesses, now part of the Optum
Health global umbrella.
Nancy also worked in state and federal government in various capacities. Previously as
a national consultant for Federal Occupational Health, she provided guidance in
workplace violence prevention and recovery to teams and executives at the U.S. Postal
Service including labor relations officials and was a trusted advisor to the (then)
Postmaster General.
Eight years ago, Nancy co-founded the non-profit organization, Global Women 4
Wellbeing (GW4W), emphasizing gender, health and pay equity while building
healthy, inclusive, and respectful workplaces for women to thrive. Along with her
role as COO of GW4W, she coaches and trains corporate leaders in better identifying
and supporting the mental wellbeing of their workforces, including reducing personal
harm and corporate risk.
As a longtime member of EAPA and a CEAP, she is passionate about mentorship and
preparing the next generation of EA leaders for success
