Christiana Montminy has worked for the United States House of Representatives Office of Employee Assistance (OEA) since December 2021, bringing extensive experience in behavioral health, crisis response, and employee assistance services across federal agencies. Prior to joining OEA, Christiana managed the U.S. Coast Guard’s Employee Assistance Program, where she also led the suicide prevention, workplace violence prevention, and critical incident stress management programs.
Before that, Christiana served as Acting Chief of the Employee Consultation Services/Deployment Stress Management Program at the U.S. Department of State. There, she supported personnel deployed to high-threat assignments, including the Diplomatic Security Service, to build skills in stress management and resilience.Earlier in her career, Christiana worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, providing clinical services in substance use disorders treatment under the Department of Defense.
Christiana holds a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), Clinically Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist (CCSOTS), Board-Certified Diplomate (BCD) in clinical social work, and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC).
