Ken has extensive
experience managing member service organizations and serving as a Board member with labor
affiliations for numerous organizations. He has worked as the elected
Union Officer positions and, since 1979, has worked as a full-time Union Representative for the Teamsters. Additionally, he has worked as the National Advisor for
Teamsters Canada President and has been dedicated to promoting Health
& Safety programs along with Employee Assistance Programs on the two North American
Railways-C.P. & C.N. Railroads and is the Co-Chair of a National Health & Safety Policy
Committee on C.P. Rail.
Ken has served as the Co-Chair of an internal National Employee Assistance & Family Program (EFAP) on C.N. Rail across Canada. And he served the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees as the International Vice President.
Furthermore, his labor experience consists of:
▪ Currently, serving as a Labor leader of the Union Savings Program in Canada consisting of leading the organization’s Chairman of the Board, and previously as Vice President.
▪ For over 11 years, Ken served as a Board of Director for the Employee Assistance
Society of North America (EASNA); responsible for the governance, guidance for specific
working committees, and management of the annual North American Conference in the
field of Employee Assistance.
▪ Ken is presently serving as a Board of Director for the Tamarack Recovery Centre in
Winnipeg, Manitoba where he is responsible for the governance, staffing and
operations of the recovery center that provided substance abuse rehabilitation to
women and men.
▪He has fulfilled the role of National Advisor and
Lobbyist for Teamsters Canada, providing leadership and information for Canadian trade
unions on family support, health and safety, trending issues and news, and more.
