Since its release in 2013, MSRA has become a foundational training for EAP organizations and their professionals for Critical Incident Response work.
With its dual-client response emphasis, critical in EAP work, this crisis intervention approach, engages workplace leadership and their employees/members, in a process that restores an overall sense of safety and stabilization.
This training prepares EAPs and its professionals to confidently provide EAP CIR from pre-incident through post incident recovery. The objectives of this training are:
Integrate core clinical concepts of stress response, collegial grief, and resilience with evidence based, crisis intervention strategies deployed within an EAP response environment.
Reduce the risk of re-traumatization through the proper selection of interventions, ethical clinical response leadership, and use of strategies to prevent, reduce and manage the high risk of re-traumatization.
Flex CIR due to organizational nuance and virtual CIR requests.

Who Presents?
Robert Intveld, MSW
Robert Intveld, LCSW, CEAP is the owner of Robert Douglas and Associates and has been in the EAP field for over 30 years. He has provided clinical, operational and administrative services in all aspects of EAP delivery. His particular interest in Critical Incident Response has led him to overseeing and/or providing interventions throughout the country, i.e., Columbine HS, OK City bombing, terrorist attacks, natural and man-made disasters, mass shootings, and many others. Through these earlier experiences, interventions required modification from the popular first responder, CISM model many EAPs were trained in due to the variety of populations and workplace cultures EAPs responded to. In 2013, Robert authored the Multi-Systemic Resiliency Approach (also released in Japan). Its goal was to bring response services more in line with the EAP mission and has since been training EAPs, its professionals, and EAPA chapters around the country and Canada.
Robert received a Special Award from EAPA in 2002 for his work during 9/11 in NYC. He continues to be available for training and provision of EAP services.
